We are partnering with Peoria Young Life and Central Phoenix Urban Ministry to reach out to those experiencing homelessness in our community. We are going to do this by preparing care packages with essential items to distribute in parks around Central Phoenix. Young Life students are welcome to join us at the Northwest building the previous Wednesday, April 10th (6pm) to purchase items and prepare the care packages as well as do some training on how to safely interact with those we are reaching out to. We encourage everyone to still participate even if you can't make the Wednesday prep time. If you're interested in packing some care-packages on your own time, here is the recommended list of items: Reusable shopping or shoe bag (to hold contents) Paperback New Testament in English Body wash Full-sized Shampoo Shoelaces T-shirt Socks Reusable Water bottle Lip balm Toothbrush Toothpaste Comb Hand sanitizer Disposable wipes. We will meet at Northwest on Saturday (10am) to gather our prepared care packages before meeting at the Greenhouse downtown to break into teams. Once we distribute all our care-packages we will meet back at the Greenhouse to debrief, then we will head to Taco Huicho for lunch - so bring about $10!
